Where we work

We don’t jet in and impose solutions – we build long-term relationships to help people and communities transform their lives

Where do we work?

We work in post-conflict countries, where people are struggling to overcome poverty and rebuild lives in the shadow of previous conflict and present-day instability: El Salvador, Nicaragua, Somaliland, Timor-Leste and Zimbabwe.

We work in countries where inequality is entrenched and poverty, for many people, is extreme: Honduras, Malawi, Peru and Yemen.

In the Dominican Republic, we help tackle the discrimination faced by people of Haitian descent, and we work in Haiti to help rebuild lives and communities after the 2010 earthquake.

In Ecuador, the growing strength of people’s organisations and civil society means that we were able to phase out our programme there during 2010.
