ICS Progressio enables young people, aged 18-22, interested in faith and international development, from all over the UK, to volunteer in a developing country for 10 weeks and to use this experience to inspire social action on global issues here in the UK.

All overseas placements are for 10 weeks and on your return to the UK you will get involved in social action inspired by your overseas experience.
The final departures for the pilot phase of ICS Progressio will be on March 31 2012 to Malawi and Zimbabwe.

Can't go in March 2012?
Although it is currently a pilot, the UK Government is committed to expanding International Citizen Service (ICS) so that thousands more young people can take part.
We are not expecting any break between the pilot and the full phase, and you should be able to apply for summer 2012 placements, from spring 2012 onwards, once the contract for delivering the full phase of ICS has been awarded. Register your interest in the future of ICS and summer placements by emailing us.
